Old Faithful Area

With the most famous geyser in the USA and the three geyser basins along the Firehole River between Old Faithful and Madison.

        Lone Star Geyser

The Lone Star Geyser – erupting approximately every 3 hours – is south of Old Faithful geyser. Only a hiking trail along the Firehole River leads to it, therefore, it receives relatively few tourists.

        Upper Geyser Basin

The geyser basin around Old Faithful with several thermal areas (such as the Biscuit Basin).

        Midway Geyser Basin

From Grand Prismatic Spring to remote waterfalls and geysers.

        Lower Geyser Basin

A thermal area near Madison junction on both sides of the Firehole River.
